The client–practitioner relationship

The Green Herbalist Clinic is a professional practice following the ethical framework of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (https://www.nimh.org.uk/about-nimh).

The practitioner always ensures to maintain a professional relationship with the client.

The treatment and management plan will be discussed with the client before the commencement of the treatment.

The practitioner may refer the client to another practitioner herbal or orthodox; if it is recognisable that the client's needs are better met by other health professionals.

The practitioner keeps the right to refuse or stop treatment if one of the following occurs:

If the practitioner acknowledges their own limitations of treatment

If the client: Exceeds professional boundaries, appears emotionally unstable and acts aggressively or in a threatening manner.

The client has the right to stop the treatment and consultation at any time.

Confidentiality policy

Any personal information gathered during consultation will not be disclosed to a third body without the client’s written consent, unless required to do so by law. A clear record will be kept of all sessions, which will be stored in a safe and secure manner. Those records will not be disclosed to anyone other than the individual concerned and will be kept in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018.

Payment accepted: BACS payments on the date of the invoice.

Before each appointment, you will be asked to pay a consultation fee. Once a management plan and herbal treatment have been evaluated, you will be expected to pay for your herbal treatment in full before it has been despatched or collected.

Cancellation policy:
Every now and then there are unforeseen circumstances that may stop you from coming to the appointment. Any changes would need to implement before 48 hours of the appointment. If the cancellation happens within 36-24 hours there will be a feel of 50% and canceling within 12 hours, a full fee is payable.

Refunds
No refund of consultation and herbal medicine fees can be offered. Medicinal herbal products that are formulated and dispensed in accordance with the patient's needs are exempt from being returned.

Compliance with the local authority and national regulations

The practice complies with local authority regulations and national legislation.

Complaint’s procedure
The Green Herbalist Clinic highly values clients’ opinions and will respond to any complaints promptly and constructively.

The client may send us an e-mail or communicate any concerns or complaints to the practitioner during the next consultation.

Communication with other professionals:
The services provided by the Clinic are not an alternative to orthodox medical advice. The clinic is aware of and respects the rights of other health practitioners. If appropriate we will ask a client if they have seen a doctor concerning their condition, and if not, advise them to do so. If a general practitioner refers a patient to us, the doctor remains responsible for the patient’s health. Often herbal medicine can work in conjunction with orthodox medicine, however, the clinic will not countermand or obstruct any treatment prescribed by a doctor.
